Yoga has brought miraculous healing to my life, and allowed me to overcome the symptoms of polio. It has been a gift without measure. I feel a deep and humble gratitude that I am able to teach yoga and see the gifts that yoga brings to my students.

Rachel Leshaw was a competitive runner in high school and college. She started to
enjoying yoga for the physicality, stress reduction and self-reflection. She completed an Ashtanga teacher training in San Francisco (2003) and started teaching since then. She moved to Encinitas in 2007 and she has since completed the Anusara teacher training with Michael Fukumura and taught at a variety of North County studios. Rachel’s approach to yoga is “structured play.” Yoga is a dance on the mat, spontaneous and expressive. Poses that begin as “impossible” become possible when approached from a place of play and good alignment. All levels of yoga student will be presented with options and challenges, including arm balances and inversions.
Michele Bollo has a background in both classical and Tantra yoga and was introduced to meditation in 1969, principally inspired by Paramahansa Yogananda, and then Ram Dass.
She began her personal practice of asana in 1999, after a lengthy discipline in mixed martial arts. But it was the art of “not fighting” inherent in the martial practice that spoke to her most strongly. “Anusara has a very special place in my heart. Fulfilling the elements of balanced action and connection to nature, I love that we are reminded of the Divine and the powerful aspects of positive energy, manifestation and our inherent creative human process.” Dedicated to seva, the arts and creative living, Michele encourages a nurturing space where everyone can feel comfortable, no matter their level of experience, with support for those ready to take on deeper joyful challenges.
